Abstract

The increasing complexity and volume of cyber threats have made traditional detection and response mechanisms insufficient to protect critical infrastructures and sensitive data. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative technology capable of enhancing cybersecurity frameworks. This paper explores the role of AI in bolstering cyber threat detection and response mechanisms. Key capabilities of AI, such as anomaly detection, threat prediction, and automated response, are examined. Additionally, the challenges associated with implementing AI-driven solutions, including data privacy concerns, false positives, and adversarial attacks, are discussed. Through an analysis of AI methodologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and neural networks, this study highlights how AI can empower organizations to combat sophisticated cyber threats effectively. The paper concludes that while AI provides significant advancements in cybersecurity, a hybrid approach combining AI with human expertise is essential for robust and reliable defense mechanisms.
